Aerial Production

For over 20 years Cherokee Helicopter Service has been involved in aerial filmography for the television and motion picture industry. We hold an FAA Approved Motion Picture and Television Production Manual with low altitude waiver which allows us to coordinate your complete shoot efficiently and safely.

Flying the camera creatively or positioning the picture ship in the right angle is something we do regularly, thus permitting the client to get the image right the first time. We have in house film pilots as well as aerial coordinator. If your shoot requires a S.A.G. Pilot, we are teamed up with David Paris and his combined years of experience to further provide your production the complete package. At Cherokee Helicopter Service we are a team of professionals experienced in flying all of the major camera systems in the production industry. We routinely fly the Gyron Stab C, SpaceCam, Pictorvision (formerly known as Wescam), Tyler Middle, Tyler Nose, and Tyler Super Nose Mount, as well as small ball Cineflex HD and FLIR Systems.

Providing service to the East Coast

We routinely provide our combined services throughout the entire east coast including New York City, Washington DC, Chicago, to the Midwest.

We have camera rental insurance, in house shipping, in house Airfilms Nose Mount, and in house Sutton Nose Mount, which allows for a large financial savings in shipping from the west coast. In addition, our own maintenance director is able to do the required FAA paperwork and camera installation. We are also able to do in house paint / wax paint services. We have a mobile production unit for on site viewing of footage and comfort as well as fuel truck for on site fueling.

From aerial and ground scouting to coordination of numerous aircraft, our team is able to be your one stop shop for all aspects of your project.
